Description:
Fort Stanwix NY, originally built by the British in 1758 and then rebuilt by Americans in 1776 as a fort to defend the Mohawk Valley from the British attacking from Canada which in 1777 withstood a 21 day siege by the British forces which inturn helped Americas victory over the British forces in Saratoga NY.
